Metro Housing Collaborative (“MHC”, “we”, “us”) is a nonprofit organization in Omaha, Nebraska that connects housing partners, community partners and the people they serve. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through metrohousingcollaborative.com, our online forms, our partner and property search portal and our email, phone and text message communications, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, including:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, organization and job title when you sign up as a property partner or community partner, contact us, subscribe to updates or make a donation.
- Property partner details such as property addresses, unit listings, rent, availability, photos, payment preferences, mailing address and tax forms needed to pay rental incentives or Risk Mitigation Fund requests.
- Referral information that community partners submit about the people they serve, such as name, date of birth, household needs and program eligibility. We use this information only to administer our housing programs, and we expect partners to share it only with the proper authorization.
- Appointment details when you book an orientation or a meeting with us.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you use our website, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookies that keep the site working and help us understand how it is used.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We use service providers that help us send messages and run our systems, and they may process this information only on our behalf and under our instructions.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run our programs:
- With property partners and community partners who are part of a specific housing search, referral or request, and only the information needed for that purpose.
- With service providers that host our website, store data, send email and text messages, process electronic signatures and support our systems. They act on our behalf and are bound to protect your information.
- With funders, auditors and government agencies when required for program reporting, compliance or legal reasons, in aggregate form whenever possible.
- When we believe it is necessary to comply with the law, protect the safety of a person or protect the rights and property of MHC.
How we protect and keep information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including secure sign-in for our partner portal and limited staff access.
