Furniture Train: Donation Pick-Up Reservations Now Open

The Furniture Train is back in motion, connecting gently used furniture from our community to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.

For many, securing housing is just the first step. Walking into an empty space without a bed, table or basic furnishings can make stability feel out of reach. That’s where the Furniture Train comes in, turning empty units into livable homes.

We are currently accepting donation pick-up reservations for our upcoming route and we need your support to meet the growing demand.

What We’re Looking For:

• Gently used couches, chairs and tables
• Beds, mattresses and bed frames
• Dressers and storage furniture
• Household essentials in good condition

How It Works:

Reserve your donation pick-up and our team will coordinate a time to come directly to you. Your items will be distributed to community members who are rebuilding their lives with dignity and stability.

If you have a countertop appliance you would like to donate, please take it to Edge of the Universe (6070 Maple Street Omaha) to receive 15% off your order

Registration Deadline: April 25, 2026

Spots for donation pick-ups are limited and fill quickly. Be sure to reserve your pick-up before the deadline to ensure your items can be included in this cycle.
