Founded April of 2021, Metro Housing Collaborative (MHC) is made up of 50+ community partners from Douglas.

We have joined together to grow relationships with our neighborhood property owners and managers (POMs) to provide services and support to help end homelessness in the metro.

Our AIM

  • Our aim is to develop beneficial relationships between property partners, community partners, and tenants. Ultimately, our efforts are for the benefit of those experiencing a housing crisis.

Making Community Resources Accessible

  • Through this program, we intend to build up the network of available rental units, to increase occupant retention rates, to decrease the number of vacant units, and to make community resources accessible.

ERA (MHC) Contract Position Description

Hours: Up to 960 hours; averaging 40 hours/week
Hourly Rate: $32/hour, negotiable based on experience + mileage reimbursement with approval based on collateral submitted to program director.
Location: Omaha Metro area, Hybrid position, Office: 2419 Leavenworth/HOME office
Contract Term: November 2024 – May 2025, with possible renewal based on funding, business needs and contractor performance.

This position will have a specific focus in the operational needs of the including but not limited to requesting documentation, processing payments and answering questions from payees.

The typical work week will include Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM with some evenings and the occasional weekend.

This contractor will work in partnership with other MHC, ReImagine, Together and FHAS.

This contractor will be assigned a direct report and agreed upon contract deliverables.

Specific Tasks May include:

  • Be familiar with best practices and similar successful efforts from both national and local examples
  • Conduct on-going community outreach efforts
  • Distribute any marketing or required documentation as needed
  • Process payments timely and efficiently
  • Keeping record of availability and payments made
  • Maintain collaborative communication with all partner agencies in the CoC and to remain informed on programs, changes to processes and providing updates regarding requests entered
  • Attend all required Meetings as scheduled
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups in the non-profit and for-profit realm
  • Have the ability and equipment needed to work in office or from home
  • Any other tasks the parties may agree on
